Start here: Standard, the cheapest way to watch
Standard is $13 a month plus HST. It includes 5,000+ channels, 720p HD picture, and 20,000 movies and series, with new titles added monthly.
If you want the lowest price we offer, take Standard on a 12-month term: that works out to $10 a month, or $120 for the year plus HST, saving you $36. For a lot of households this is plenty, especially if your main TV is an older set or you mostly watch live channels.
Standard covers one device at a time, so it suits a single TV or one person watching at a time.
Premium: more channels and Full HD
Premium is $15 a month plus HST. You get 10,000+ channels, Full HD picture, and 30,000 movies and series, with new titles added weekly.
This is the middle step, and it's the one to look at if your TV is a modern Full HD set and you want a bigger library. The jump from Standard is $2 a month plus HST, which is a small difference for double the channels and a weekly top-up of new content.
Enhanced: 4K, the biggest library and free months
Enhanced is $20 a month plus HST. It includes 20,000+ channels, Full HD and 4K picture, and 50,000 movies and series, with new titles added daily.
Enhanced is also the only plan with free months attached. Pay for 6 months and you get 1 free month; pay for 12 months and you get 3 free months.
Choose this one if you have a 4K TV and want the fullest channel list and the freshest movie library.
Watching on more than one TV
Standard, Premium and Enhanced each cover one device. If two people in the house want to watch different things at the same time, that's what the Family package is for.
The Family package is $15 per device per month plus HST, and it covers 2 to 4 devices at once. A family of four with four TVs would pay for four devices on that rate.
If you're on a single-device plan and someone else signs in while you're watching, you may see a "too many connections" message. Our guide at tdot-media.com/tutorials/too-many-devices explains what's happening.
Four questions that usually settle it
If you're still torn, these are the things that actually make the decision for most households.
- What does your TV do? A 720p or older set won't show more than Standard gives you. A Full HD set suits Premium, and a 4K set is where Enhanced earns its price.
- How many TVs at once? One device means a single plan. Two to four at the same time means the Family package at $15 per device per month plus HST.
- How often do you want new movies? Monthly on Standard, weekly on Premium, daily on Enhanced.
- What's your budget over a year? Standard on 12 months is $10 a month, $120 for the year plus HST. Enhanced on 12 months comes with 3 free months.
Check your internet, then try it free
Whichever plan you pick, the picture depends on the internet actually reaching your TV or box. You want at least 30 Mbps at the device itself — open fast.com in that device's browser to test it. A wired connection and a recommended app make the biggest difference if things stutter, and tdot-media.com/tutorials/buffering walks through the fixes.
Every new household gets a free 24-hour trial at tdot-media.com/trial, with no card needed. It's the simplest way to see how a plan looks on your own TV before you pay for anything.
You can use your own Smart TV, Android box, MAG or Formuler box, Firestick, phone or computer. Setup guides live at tdot-media.com/tutorials/smart-tv, tdot-media.com/tutorials/firestick and tdot-media.com/tutorials/android-box. If you'd rather have it done for you, the XTV Air Pro box is $165 plus tax, arrives set up with a 1-year warranty, and ships within 24 hours — 3 to 5 business days inside Toronto.
